Child Safety Standards

1. Our commitment and scope

We are committed to protecting the safety and rights of children and preventing abuse, exploitation, and other conduct that puts children at risk. These standards apply to all users, user-generated content, and interactions on the Apps, including profiles, messages, images, videos, and live communications, as well as our reporting and content review processes. For this policy, a child means any person under 18 years of age.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the Apps. These prohibitions apply regardless of the intended audience of the Apps.

2. Age restrictions and underage accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Apps. By registering for or using the Apps, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Providing false age information, bypassing age restrictions, or creating or managing an account on behalf of a child is prohibited.

If we receive information indicating that an account belongs to a child, we will review the concern and restrict access as appropriate while the review is ongoing. Accounts confirmed to belong to users under 18 will be suspended or terminated. Related information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and legal preservation requirements.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

CSAM includes images, videos, or other visual depictions of a child involved in sexually explicit conduct or portrayed in a sexually exploitative context. Our prohibition also covers sexualized depictions of children in drawings, animations, and digitally generated or manipulated imagery.

Users must not use the Apps to commit, encourage, facilitate, or normalize CSAE or other conduct that endangers children. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Creating, uploading, storing, requesting, distributing, or sharing CSAM, including links to such material.
• Sexualizing children through content, language, audio, role-play, or other interactions, or sharing material that depicts or promotes their sexual abuse.
• Grooming a child, seeking sexual contact with a child, or requesting sexual images or videos from a child.
• Sexually coercing, threatening, or blackmailing a child, including sexual extortion.
• Trafficking children for sexual exploitation, or arranging, advertising, or facilitating their exploitation.
• Threatening, encouraging, or carrying out physical violence, psychological abuse, bullying, or harassment against children.
• Encouraging dangerous activities involving children or promoting their neglect, abuse, or trafficking.

4. Reporting and response

If you encounter suspected child abuse, exploitation, an underage account, or another violation of these standards on the Apps, report it through the in-app reporting options, such as Report content or Report this user in the relevant profile or content menu.

You can also email [email protected] with the subject Child Safety Report. Include the app name, the relevant user ID or profile name, where the incident occurred in the app, the approximate date and time, and a brief description.

Do not download, copy, forward, or attach suspected CSAM to a report. Identify the account or content location so the concern can be investigated without redistributing harmful material.

We will prioritize child safety concerns for prompt review and handle report information with care. We will share it only as needed to investigate, protect a child, or meet legal obligations. Threats, intimidation, or retaliation against anyone who makes a good-faith report are prohibited.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement immediately.

5. Content review and enforcement

We will review reported content, accounts, and behavior against these standards and take appropriate action under applicable law. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM on the Apps, we will promptly remove it or disable access to it.

We may restrict access to content or accounts while assessing a credible risk to a child's safety. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, protective actions may include removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, or permanently banning users. Serious child abuse or exploitation violations may result in a permanent ban without a prior warning.

6. Legal compliance and cooperation

We are committed to complying with applicable child safety laws and regulations and Google Play's Child Safety Standards. When CSAM is confirmed, we will report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority, as required by applicable law.

Our response process is to assess the report, remove or disable access to offending material, preserve information as legally required, and refer confirmed cases to the appropriate authority. We will cooperate with lawful investigations and requests from competent law enforcement and child protection authorities.

7. Accountability and policy updates

We will periodically review these standards and our response procedures to address changes in child safety risks and applicable requirements. Revisions to this policy will be published on this page with an updated date.
